EEGS Foundation Announces its 2025-2026 Student Scholarship Program.  The EEGS Foundation is offering a scholarship to students interested in pursuing a career in near-surface geophysics to help meet the challenges of the future. The application can be downloaded from the EEGS Foundation website at https://www.eegsfoundation.org/student-scholarships . Applications are due by midnight Pacific time on April 30, 2025.

  • EEGS' virtual training course, "GAINS" (Geophysical Applications for Near Surface) is free to current EEGS members (must be a member as of January 27, 2025 to participate).  Please be advised that 2024 memberships ended on Dec. 31, 2024 and a grace period to renew is offered until January 27, 2025) EEGS is uniquely positioned to develop this 14-week curriculum and offer it to those looking for an introduction or refresher on practical applications in engineering and environmental geophysics.  Details about joining EEGS and registering for the 2025 training modules are outlined on the GAINS web pageThe topic "Structural/geologic mapping such as faults, fracture zones", originally slated for Jan. 22, 2025, has been rescheduled to March 5, 2025.
